At the Movies: Opposition Then And Now

A reader kindly forwarded us a review of the Vietnam-era New Wave film 'Loin du Viet-Nam' (Far From Vietnam), in which the reviewer makes a number of interesting points about anti-war sentiment then and now, including the following:

[Loin du Viet-Nam] offers a reminder of how muted the opposition to the present war in Iraq has been, by comparison with the chorus of anger that eventually helped to undermine the American government's belligerence.

The whole review is worth reading.
